On May 26, the Chemist community center of Pervomayskiy work settlement of Shchekinsky district hosted a meeting of Shchekinoazot, dedicated to the professional holiday of workers in the chemical industry.
On behalf of the Governor of Tula region Alexey Dyumin, the company's employees and veterans were congratulated by the First Deputy Governor of Tula region – Chairman of the Government of Tula region Yuri Andrianov.
He noted that the chemical industry is rightfully the pride of Tula region. The sector's companies make a great contribution to strengthening the region's economy. Chemical products manufactured in Tula are in demand both in Russia and abroad.
The head of the regional government noted the merits of Shchekinoazot in the development of new types of products, in the modernization of production, in the implementation of social projects and participation in charitable actions.
"Of course, behind all the company's high-profile successes are the many years of hard work of many thousands of chemists. People are the main asset of any company. It is you who write its history. Your skill, desire to improve the quality of products, ability to respond to the challenges of modernity – all this leaves no doubt that you have only prosperity and new achievements ahead of you," said Yuri Andrianov.
For the achieved labor successes and long-term conscientious work, the chairman of the government of the region handed over Commendations and Letters of Appreciation of the Governor of Tula region, Certificates of honor of the government of the region to the company's best workers and veterans.
The president of Shchekinoazot Boris Sokol addressed colleagues, business and social partners, heads of the authorities.
He emphasized that the professional holiday had become a real family holiday for the people of Shchekino. Almost every family includes someone who works or has worked for Shchekinoazot, who is somehow connected with it.
Boris Sokol addressed special words of gratitude and respect to veterans of the plant, calling them "the pride and honor of the Decorated Chemical Plant with more than 60 years of history".
Boris Sokol also addressed the next generation – graduates from colleges, institutes and universities who have recently come to the factory and who are going to build and develop the company in the future. "I am sure that you will honorably continue the working tradition of your fathers and grandfathers; you have everything you need for this: talent, creative aspiration, inquiring minds and energy. And experience ... It will come very soon, especially with the system of mentoring and professional training that our company has developed," said the company president.
Boris Sokol summed up the work of the company for the past period:
"The main result of the company's work last year is the progressive implementation of the Shchekinoazot Development Strategy. The program is proceeding as rapidly as before, despite all the difficulties and problems, both on the Russian and international chemical markets.
...After commissioning combined production facilities of methanol and ammonia in 2018, the next methanol-related project follows, simultaneously to which we are planning to accomplish by 2020 and acquire all the construction permits for our largest investment project, ammonia and carbamide production facilities.
By 2024, having built ammonia and carbamide production facilities, we are planning to triple our gas processing – up to three billion cubic meters – and quadruple the volume of production. Investment will eventually exceed 2 billion dollars. We will become the leaders of chemical production in Russia!
We are also currently building sulfuric acid and dimethyl ether production plants, new treatment facilities. We are launching a new ammonium sulfate compacting plant.
Of course, these are challenging and crucial times for us. In 2017, we will finish construction, and launch and prepare for launching several production facilities.
Our specialists, engineers and workers are making great efforts to maintain the existing production facilities and, at the same time, to build new ones quickly and efficiently.
But everything we do we do for ourselves. For the prosperity of the company, its employees, their families, for the development and well-being of the region and the country. Understanding all this makes us increase the level of our responsibility and professionalism as we work".
The head of the company warmly thanked the team for their responsible work, urging them not to slow down the pace of work.
"Words of deep gratitude also go to our business and financial partners, who help us to translate projects into reality," said Boris Sokol. "They include Sberbank and Gazprombank, who we have been working successfully and mutually beneficially with for many years.
We work closely and productively with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. In accordance with the state support program, three of our company's projects receive subsidies for the repayment of interest rates on loans. This has become a significant support for us!
And, of course, special gratitude to the heads of the region, and personally to the Governor, for his assistance in resolving a number of issues, particularly concerning the delivery of Rosneft's benzol to the enterprise.
Effective state and regional mechanisms to support chemical enterprises give us confidence in the future...
