METHANOL AND AMMONIA MANUFACTURING CENTRE[22.06.2017]
Shchekinoazot JSC continues to implement the project to build a methanol and ammonia M-450/A-135 manufacturing centre; commissioning has already begun of the process pipelines in the future liquid ammonia storage facility.
Almost all the process equipment has been delivered to the main industrial site – 99.7 % of its total quantity that will be installed here, while the general designer and licensor have coordinated the design documentation for the main process equipment.
The general designer of the new production complex – Severodonetsk ORGKHIM PJSC, Severodonetsk, Ukraine – has completed the development of the bulk of the working documentation, documents for all sections of documentation and titles of the construction facility have been issued to the customer. Adjustments to the documentation under designer supervision, related to the clarification of technical solutions for construction and installation works, continue to be made.
The General Contractor for construction of the manufacturing centre – GSP LLC Neftezavodmontazh from Volgograd – completed pile driving work at the construction site; 6690 piles were driven in total. Works on foundation piling construction for individual construction projects are being completed, the works are 93 % complete, which is almost 21,100 m3 of concrete. The General Contractor is assembling buildings and structures from prefabricated reinforced concrete, 95 % of the volume of work is done; in physical terms, this is more than 4900 tons.
The liquid ammonia storage facility has the greatest degree of construction readiness. The production building is ready for testing the heating and ventilation system. The assembly of all spherical storage tanks is finished, their heat treatment and hydrotesting is completed, 70 % of the insulation work is completed. The installation of process pipelines for all titles of the ammonia storage facility is coming to an end, hydrotesting is underway, and commissioning has started.
At another construction site, a demineralised water unit, installation is underway of equipment and process pipelines, routes for instrumentation cables and electrical cables, electrical equipment, and installation of tanks. Installation works at this facility are scheduled to be completed in August this year.
At the main site, installation works are being completed in the production department buildings, as well as the installation of metal structures for methanol and ammonia synthesis, methanol rectification, energy resources department.
The main site's equipment is assembled to almost 60 % of the total planned volume of work.
The general contractor NZM and its 24 subcontractors have 1350 employees working on the construction site and the work is organised into two shifts.
