On March 27, winners of the regional stage of the Golden Mercury competition were announced at an award ceremony at the Column Hall of the Tula Nobility Assembly. The Shchekinoazot company was a partner of the competition in the “The Best Exporting Company” category.
The national Golden Mercury award in the field of entrepreneurship was established in 2002 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Russian Federation. Yevgeny Primakov, President of the CCI in 2001–2011, was one of its architects. The first award ceremony for the winners of the Golden Mercury 2003 award was held in Moscow in 2004.
The award is sponsored by the Federation Council, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. It is aimed at promoting the most successful small businesses and exporting companies that produce competitive products.
The competition gives an opportunity to showcase the best products and services', cutting-edge national business models; helps promote the idea of social responsibility of Russian business, strengthen the best Russian entrepreneurship traditions, raise business credibility and trust in the society.
Over the past years, the competition has gained the reputation of a unique award in the business sector; hundreds of companies and individual entrepreneurs from almost all of the country’s regions have participated in the event, and the best ones have claimed awards.
Winning the competition enables companies to make their presence felt at the national level, and to receive recognition from the business community.
The Golden Mercury award is traditionally held in two stages (regional and national). The regional competition is held annually by local CCIs and business associations in March.
Applicants provide information on the activities they were engaged in during the previous year. Local CCIs select the best companies and recommend them to participate in the national competition, which is held annually by the Russian CCI in April. At the end of April organizers usually discuss the competition’s final results during a meeting of the Award National Expert Council, comprising leaders of the Russian CCI and local CCIs, famous businessmen and economists.
Authorities, businessmen and members of the general public participated in the award ceremony, summarizing the results of the regional stage of the Golden Mercury competition.

Tula companies, that have taken part in the 2018 Golden Mercury competition marathon and won it, are undoubtedly the best of the best.
Winners are companies that provide people with high-quality goods and services and create innovative products. Once again the award demonstrates the high professionalism of the staff of participating companies.
Companies get the right to use the Golden Mercury label as a symbol of high quality products and services they offer.
