SHCHEKINOAZOT — CNCEC (BEIJING): “ONE BELT — ONE WAY”[16.05.2019]
An ammonia and carbamide contract has been signed.
On April 25–27, 2019, the delegation of OAO Shchekinoazot participated in the Second High-Level Forum on International Cooperation “One Belt — One Way” held in Beijing. On April 25, 2019, a conference for business leaders was held as part of the “One Belt — One Way” forum, where A.L. Tokarev, Shchekinoazot’s Deputy Director General for Financial Resources, and U. Syangun, Vice President of China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd., signed an agreement on the implementation of a strategic investment project for the construction of an ammonia production complex with a capacity of 525,000 tons per year and a carbamide production complex with a capacity of 700,000 tons per year at Shchekinoazot’s production site.
China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd., founded in 1953, is a leading engineering company in the People’s Republic of China, which also provides logistics, construction, financing, project management services and specializes in design engineering and EPC contracts. Over the past 60 years, CNCEC has implemented numerous projects in China in the fields of energy, civil engineering, environmental protection, pharmaceutical, heavy, light and textile industries. The company has successfully completed over 2,500 projects in China and over 50 projects abroad.
The construction project for the ammonia and carbamide production complex at the Shchekinoazot site involves the use of the most innovative resource-saving and energy-efficient technology to minimize risks, comply with industrial safety requirements, improve working conditions, and limit the negative impact on the environment and the surrounding area. The construction of the complex will contribute to the process of deep processing of products on the company’s site, the creation of additional jobs, the expansion of the company’s product portfolio, and the development of new mineral fertilizer markets.
According to Chinese President Xi Jinping, 283 agreements amounting to $64 billion were concluded as a result of the meeting between leaders held as part of the Second Forum “One Belt — One Way”. Such events are aimed at identifying key areas for further international cooperation, where the strengthening Russian-Chinese relations will play a key role.
