WORKING MEETING TAKES PLACE BETWEEN HEADS OF SHCHEKINOAZOT AND ROSSETI CENTER[04.06.2021]
At the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Boris Sokol, President of Shchekinoazot, and Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Center, the managing organisation of Rosseti Central and Volga Region, discussed the provision of energy infrastructure for the development of Shchekinoazot.
The business dialogue focused on cooperation to improve the reliability of energy supplies to chemical industry facilities in the Tula Region.
Last year, employees of Tulenergo, a branch of Rosseti Central and Volga Region, completed a project to rewire high voltage networks for the construction site of a new ammonia and urea production unit in the Shchekino District. Power engineers installed and commissioned over 17 km of new 110 kV transmission lines and tore down more than 11 km of existing lines.
The head of the energy company said that in view of the great importance of the plant for the development of the region's export potential, all the work was completed within the shortest possible timeframe and to the highest standards.
'Shchekinoazot is one of the world's leading producers of industrial chemicals. By improving our energy infrastructure for such large facilities, we are contributing to creating the conditions for social and economic growth in the Tula Region,' said Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Center, the managing organization of Rosseti Central and Volga Region.
