PROTECTING HEALTH OF CHEMISTS[16.06.2021]
Shchekinoazot congratulated the employees of its medical unit on Medical Worker's Day, traditionally celebrated in Russia on the third Sunday in June. A new X-ray room was officially commissioned here recently.
A week ago, on the eve of their professional holiday, the whole medical team had a special occasion, that is, the official commissioning of the new X-ray room. The first radiograph was taken using the latest digital equipment.
Last year, a digital photofluorograph had been installed and commissioned in Shchekinoazot's clinic to replace an outdated one.
The company spares no expense on protecting the lives and health of its employees and developing the plant's medical service, and the clinic is being rapidly re-equipped and overhauled. A succession of renovations inside the building was completed in 2020, and now PSK Shchekinoazot JSC is renovating the façade. Already finished is the main entrance. The second entrance, on the side of the health centre, is next in line. A ramp will be installed there for the convenience of ambulance patients.
A Renex-2 digital radiography unit with a digital X-ray imaging system based on a flat panel detector was quickly purchased at a cost of around RUB 8 mn, and PSK specialists immediately started construction work inside the building. A complete overhaul of the existing room with partial rearrangement, taking into account modern requirements as to anti-radiation norms, soundproofing, etc. was carried out. Flooring and ceiling were replaced, walls finished, ventilation and lighting re-installed, and a special safety door and window for the operator were procured.
The overhaul was finished by 1 March, and then the installation supervisors arrived. Soon the machine was ready for operation, only waiting for the acceptance committee with specialists from the Tula regional hospital. On 11 June, the state-of-the-art X-ray room was officially commissioned, and the first radiograph was taken.
The radiologist now can examine all the details of the image taken on a computer monitor, print it out on a sheet, record it on a storage medium, and provide the patient with a digital copy.
A perfect gift by the company for Medical Officer's Day! That is, not only to the medics but to the entire staff of the enterprise, as the outpatient clinic of Shchekinoazot never refuses to help relatives and friends of the company's employees.
The factory also plans to buy a portable dental X-ray unit and an electroencephalograph for the clinic this year.
Shchekinoazot medics carry on with their daily battle for the health of chemists. They accomplished a true feat of labour in 2020, combating the coronavirus pandemic. Today, an active vaccination campaign is going on, with two vaccines available, Sputnik-V and EpiVacCorona, and the supply of CoviVac is expected. Vaccination is also offered to relatives of employees if they so wish.
Shchekinoazot medical unit employees have been awarded by the company in honour of their professional holiday. Among those are the general practitioner O.V. Vishnyakova, nurse I.S. Leonova, laboratory assistant R.P. Korshunova, nurse V.I. Shvedova, surgeon B.I. Sidyakin, dental nurse L.A. Kulikova, and ECG nurse V.I. Panina.
