SHCHEKINOAZOT MAKES LIFE BRIGHTER FOR SHCHEKINO LOCALS[23.08.2021]
All street lights in the town of Shchekino and the settlement of Pervomayskiy were replaced at the expense of the city-forming enterprise.
Shchekinoazot provides the Shchekino District with continuous substantial support aimed at the development and improvement of the municipality's territories, and at the well-being of its residents.
In 2018, as part of Shchekinoazot's wide-scale programme of good deeds and co-financing of regional improvement projects, Shchekinoazot replaced old lighting fixtures in the northwest microdistrict of Shchekino on Lukashina and Gagarina Streets with its own funds. Residents of the district capital appreciated the work done, and the head of the region met Boris Sokol, president of Shchekinoazot, to discuss the possibility of updating the lighting on the other streets of Shchekino and the settlement of Pervomayskiy. Thus, the large-scale work begun.
As of today, over four thousand street lighting bulbs have been replaced with new LED ones in the streets of Shchekino and Pervomayskiy.
'Our main social partner invested over RUB 45 million in this project. Now there is quality lighting on all the streets,' said Aleksandr Gamburg, the head of the Shchekino District Administration.
In May, at the operational meeting chaired by Governor Aleksey Dyumin, the development of street lighting in Shchekino was discussed. The head of the region thanked Boris Sokol for his participation in solving socially important issues in the Tula Region. He noted this as a positive example of interaction with large enterprises, which can be adopted by other municipalities.
'This is not yet the end of the improvement programme, particularly of the street lighting project. In the near future, work will begin to replace street lighting starting from the Shchekinoazot Motor Transport Shop towards the district capital. The works will cost RUB 4 million,' said Dmitriy Kozhenkin, Deputy General Director for Social Matters at Shchekinoazot.
In 2021, as part of its aid to the district, Shchekinoazot is working on installing traffic lights at the intersection of Lukashina and Boldina Streets in the northwest microdistrict of Shchekino and the widening of the carriageway on Boldina Street. This project is worth RUB 5.7 million.
Cooperation between the chemical company and the Shchekino district in solving socio-economic issues will continue.
