Nitrogen gas and liquid nitrogen
Nitrogen gas - rare gas, odourless and colourless, with the density of 1,25046 kg/m3 at 0°С and 101,3 kPa. The specific volume of nitrogen gas is 860,4 dm3/kg at the pressure of about 105 Pa and the temperature of 290K.
Liquid nitrogen - colourless and odourless liquid with the boiling-point of -196°С and the pressure of 101,3 кPа and the specific volume of 1,239 dm3/kg at the temperature of -196°С and the pressure of 101,3 кPа.
In terms of physical and chemical parameters, gaseous and liquid nitrogen complies with the standards of GOST 9293-74.

Induces of nitrogen produced by the JSC “Shchekinoazot” correspond to the 1st grade of the technical brand of nitrogen gas and liquid nitrogen.
In industry nitrogen is obtained from atmospheric air by means of low-temperature separation.
Fields of nitrogen gas application:
- for creating inert atmosphere at the production, storage and transportation of the easily oxidizable products,
- at high temperature processes of working of the metals that don’t interact with nitrogen,
- for conservation of the secluded metal vessels, conduits and other purposes.
Liquid nitrogen is used as refrigerating medium.
Nitrogen gas is transported in steel cylinders with a capacity of 40 l.
Liquid nitrogen is transported in cylinders, when transported by motor transport it is put in cryogenic tanks, Dewar vessels of any capacity. Vessels with liquid nitrogen, as well as vessels with oxygen, are safe for usage and passed a test on the special equipment.
Guaranteed storage life is 18 months as from the date of production.
