Yasnaya Polyana Agreement
In 2004 understanding the necessity of partner cooperation for the effective use of the region’s humanitarian and engineering resources, the Administration of Tula region, State Memorial and Nature Preserve Estate-Museum of Leo Tolstoy “Yasnaya Polyana” and Shchekinoazot, OJSC (Russia) have elaborated and signed the Yasnaya Polyana Agreement on Cooperation recognized by them as the area of common responsibility.
Under this Agreement:
«The Participants (Parties) undertake to coordinate activities and to take part in developing social and cultural objects of the region by means of modernization and increasing of their utilization efficiency.
The Parties consider it necessary to cooperate in elaboration of relevant legal acts that will create the institutional base for new technologies of regional development.
The Parties to the Agreement intend to take part in solving certain problems on creation of new socio-cultural and other objects essential for the realization of program arrangements on creation of favorable conditions for investment activities aimed at the develop of the region.
The Parties will make efforts to establish and develop connections with other regions of the Russian Federation for the expansion of programs and projects realization spheres.
Within social partnership with regional and municipal authorities, the Company takes part in realization of socially significant programs that contribute to the development of culture and sport, educational and career oriented activities.
The volume of social expenditures of the Company for 2013 amounted to 51,5 million Rubles including charity support in the amount of 13,5 million Rubles.
The Company is a major taxpayer to municipal and regional budgets and within the period from 2005 to 2012 has steered over 139 million Rubles to the activities of social facilities.
