CharitySupporting the development of the social environment, participating in life of the younger generation and providing assistance to the population where manufacturing sites are located have become the foundation of social stability necessary for the implementation of effective company activities.
Shchekinoazot is an example of a successful business that pays taxes, builds production facilities and remembers about social responsibility, helps to develop territories, and implements significant social and cultural projects. These initiatives are among priorities set by the President of the Russian Federation.
Shchekinoazot conducts a truly socially responsible business.
Shchekinoazot annually invests tens of millions of rubles in charity.
Thanks to the company, the Platonov Park in Tula was reconstructed. Now it is not only a place for recreation of Tula residents, but also an art space where creative festivals, concerts, open-air exhibitions, master classes, and children's parties take place. The Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate, children's, veteran's, social institutions and organizations are also getting corporate assistance.
Since 2014, the Topsoe, Tolstoy, Sokol Families Charitable Foundation has been operating, supporting children's talents in the Shchekino district.
In the village of Pervomaisky a redevelopment program is being implemented; with efforts of the authorities, businesses, and the public, it should turn into the “best settlement in Russia”, the title it had in 1968.
The company maintains the Yubileiny Sports Center, a medical unit, sponsors a local recreation center, and helps to develop art classes and support creative art teams.
With the company's funding, the Sports Center was completely reconstructed, and the Khimik Culture Center in Pervomaisky was repaired.
Boxing, freestyle wrestling, kickboxing, swimming, acrobatics, gymnastics are developing in the region with the support of Shchekinoazot and Boris Sokol, the company's president. The Vityaz Club was established. There, young boxers and kickboxers attend classes and develop their abilities and skills for free. Freestyle wrestlers also do not pay for training, sports acrobatics and rhythmic gymnastics federations are provided with free gym halls for young athletes.
In 2019, in the northwestern microdistrict of Shchekino, Shchekinoazot laid the symbolic first stone in the construction of the Ice Palace where free hockey and figure skating classes for children will take place.
This year, the company overhauled the Mir Martial Arts Center in Shchekino. The former premises of the gym halls are outdated. They have become completely unusable over time, and the steps and the facade of the building have collapsed. In addition, the athletes huddled together on the upper floors of the building found it very crowded. After all, more and more youngsters in Shchekino want to engage in martial arts every year.
By the way, even with training in difficult conditions, Shchekino athletes achieved excellent results and won medals at Russian and international prestigious tournaments.
Champions and record breakers, world-class masters of sports Daria Abramova, Victoria Miftieva, Hayrapet Avanesyan trained here, in the Mir Center...
Only Shchekinoazot undertook to carry out major expensive repair and help professional athletes and all martial arts amateurs. It invested almost 24 million rubles in the reconstruction of the facility.
Listing the activities accomplished by the company on the initiative of its president in the district and the region in recent years will take a very long time.
It includes the installation of a stele in the entry road to the village, the repair of a local hospital, participation in the People's Budget program and the installation of a fountain in the village of chemists. It also includes the development of the territories of the necropolises in Kochaky, Kresty, the installation of festive lighting in Shchekino and Pervomaisky, and a winter gift to the district center and all residents — a modern Christmas tree.
And the organization of festivities for fellow countrymen with food, and the inviting of Russian pop stars. The company supports Shchekino talents, sports initiatives, the promotion of a healthy and responsible attitude towards life among young people, their choice in it.
The company cares about veterans. It presents gifts for holidays, arranges meetings on the Day of Elderly People, organizes wellness vacations, and treatment. And it pays additional “pensions” to World War II veterans, widows of veterans and former juvenile prisoners of concentration camps. Older people are grateful for such care!
A wide range of works, including environmental and cultural work, is being conducted under the “Yasnaya Polyana Agreement”. The agreement was signed in 2004 by the administration of the Tula region, the Yasnaya Polyana museum and Shchekinoazot. It contributes to social progress, sustainable development of territories, and the improvement of people's living standards.
The company continues its work within the framework of the Tolstoy, Topsoe, and Sokol Families Charity Foundation in support of poor gifted children in the Shchekino district.
On November 6, 2013, a meeting of the foundation's founders was held. At this meeting the organization was established, its Charter was adopted, goals were set, the Board of Trustees, the Board, and the director were elected.
The foundation was created by three well-known families — Tolstoy, Topsoe (a family of businessmen, scientists, philanthropists with a worldwide reputation from Denmark), and Sokol. For a long time, each one of the families has been separately providing charitable help to the people in need. Elderly people, children, and gifted youth received this kind of support.
But having met here, in Tula, these people agreed that together they can do even more: implementing a good, necessary and proper project in support of talented children. Since both Yasnaya Polyana and Shchekinoazot are located in the Shchekino district, the children to be assisted by the foundation are selected from this place. There are always many gifted children in the region. However fate decides and not all families have the means, primarily financial ones, for the proper development of their talents. Often it all comes down to money.
Children regularly receive comprehensive assistance from the foundation. It contributes to the fullest revelation of their talents, the solution of everyday and household issues, and the arrangement of recreation and rehabilitation. Nevertheless, the foundation does not part ways even with adult pupils. It continues to sponsor, help, supervise, and pay additional scholarships for good education.
They say that charity comes with open hands, its purpose is to give.
Charity is a system, it is a real social force and an effective social mechanism.
From year to year, Shchekinoazot increases investment in human capital.
