“Secrets of economical production” about the visit of specialists of Srednerussky Bank to Shchekinoazot company [23.12.2009]

Srednerussky Bank specialists and JSC Shchekinoazot have discussed the practice of implementation of lean technologies in Russia. The meeting was opened by the President of JSC Shchekinoazot Boris Sokol. He highlighted that the company and Sberbank have longstanding partnership relationships and in the present time several projects are being implemented with participation of the bank, aimed at total reconstruction of UCC Shchekinoazot. New production system that is being implemented in Sberbank originated in method developed by Toyota, which is a manufacturing company; therefore, much of the bank’s practice can be applied on Shchekinoazot. Sberbank Production system (SPS) has been launched in Tula on April 6th 2009 in two of the Sberbank’s subsidiaries: on Demonstratsii st. and on Kutuzov st. Over this short period of time remarkable results have been achieved: line waiting time reduced almost in half, labour efficiency increased for about 30%, quality of client service also increased, the clients themselves highlight that. These are just first results, since one of the main principles of lean production is constant development. Sberbank’s experience on implementation of new technologies is novel in Tula region and arouses profound interest of the companies trying to minimize their expenses and build an optimum structure of business control. Meeting at Shchekinoazot helped to get a closer look at accommodation and implementation of lean technologies. 90 executive officials of Partner Company attended the meeting. Andrey Shestakov, Manager of Tula division of Sberbank, Alexey Ushenin, Head of SPS Organization and Implementation Department of Srednerussky Bank and Maxim Burkin, expert navigator on implementation of SPS in Tula region shared their knowledge on the principles of lean production and answered the questions of meeting’s participants.
