SHCHEKINOAZOT LAUNCHES CORPORATE E-LEARNING PORTAL[11.03.2021]
Digitalisation is becoming a more and more important part of life for both individuals and groups. Today, we have access to a huge number of online courses, trainings and programmes on different platforms designed for large and small businesses, professional and language studies, various types of creative work, healthy lifestyle, etc...
Skype work meetings and online documentation have become an integral part of Shchekinoazot's operations. Shchekinoazot continues introducing digitalisation into the lives of Shchekino chemists. As part of these activities, the company launched a corporate e-learning portal (Distance Learning System) in February.
The convenient programme iSpring DMS is designed to structure training materials, translate them into digital format, generate test assignments, conduct corporate trainings and workshops for employees and check the understanding of the material. Learning is no longer limited to classrooms. Employees can open courses from any device: computers, laptops, tablets, or phones with Internet access. And our app for iOS and Android, they can even study the courses offline ... Employees can take courses and tests and repeat the covered material at any time: at home, on the road, or during breaks at work.
Shchekinoazot has been using its DLS since 1 February, and this is just the beginning. So far, we only use the system to develop the corporate competencies of the talent pool employees. We are accumulating experience and are gradually putting the system into operation. During the next step, the DLS will offer professional and technical training on labour protection and industrial safety, technical training for personnel, staff training and personnel adaptation.
To date, only the talent pool employees have access to the platform due to the limited number of DLS spots. In the future, we plan to increase that number and make the system available for other enterprise employees.
Many large organizations have already introduced such corporate e-learning systems. Among the biggest advantages they offer are the reduced training costs per employee, elimination of day release problems, the ease of organising continuous learning process, quick transfer of corporate culture, as well as the ability to comply with a uniform educational standard regardless of the remoteness of structural units and workplace.
Our DLS lets us manage all types of training (electronic, part-time). It allows it to test employee knowledge and skills, analyse training and evaluate results, provide content and programmes, archive training materials and save all learning histories.
The system will grant 24/7 access to learning materials: structured training information for the development of competencies. The main task of studying still falls on the employees. The DLS consists of several sections, including trainings on corporate competencies, a library and a personal growth section. In the future, the system will also feature labour protection, technical and personnel training.
A single course takes two to three weeks to complete. This is enough to study the theory and finish the test tasks. If an employee can't complete the course in time for a valid reason (illness, vacation, session, business trip), they simply need to inform the administrator to extend the course.
There is no need to complete the entire course at once. The employees can study the material sequentially, 1–100% at a time. The platform lets them schedule their training 24/7 in a way that suits them.
The programme has a section called Library, which features a collection of electronic business books.
Shchekinoazot offers both full-time/classroom and distance training. There are topics that the employees first study in the DLS (theory) and then practice during offline training sessions (where they apply the knowledge they've gained). There are trainings that are available only in the classroom or e-learning format.
