CELEBRATING THE PROJECTS OF YOUNG SPECIALISTS[17.03.2021]
"While others dream, we make it happen!". So says the motto of the scientific and technical conference for young specialists of the Shchekinoazot company held at the enterprise on 17th and 18th of March.
A dozen interesting projects were presented to the competent jury by employees from various departments. The team of young specialists from the design bureau was the most active. Other participants included the Central Operative Control System and the Air Service Laboratory, the boiler and turbine shop of the Pervomayskaya Thermal Power Plant, the accounting department and the departments of chief specialists of Shchekinoazot OJSC.
The organising committee of the scientific and technical conference acted as a jury and consisted of the most competent individuals and managers of different levels: Technical Director of Shchekinoazot OJSC Vitaly Ponomarenko, Finance Director of UCC Shchekinoazot LLC Andrey Tokarev, HR Management and Social Development Director of UCC Shchekinoazot LLC Irina Podchufarova, Deputy General Director for Technical Development and Quality of Shchekinoazot OJSC Eduard Savosh, Director for Economics and Information Technologies of UCC Shchekinoazot LLC Aleksandr Sharafutdinov, Deputy Technical Director for Industrial and Environmental Safety of Shchekinoazot OJSC Valery Ordynets, Deputy Technical Director for Automation and Communication of Shchekinoazot OJSC Sergey Zemlyaninov, Chief Mechanic of Shchekinoazot OJSC Sergey Frolov, Head of the Production and Technical Department of Shchekinoazot OJSC Dmitry Grintsevich and Head of the Design Bureau of Shchekinoazot OJSC Andrey Filchev.
The meeting was chaired by Anatoly Surba, General Director of Shchekinoazot OJSC, known for his keen and friendly attitude towards the business initiatives of the enterprise's young employees.
''Today, keeping pace with the times and the rapidly changing world means for us creating a powerful manufacturing base using advanced digital technologies and innovative rationalisation ideas''. ''Our task today is to keep growing and moving forward to build a European-level company,'' said Irina Podchufarova when welcoming the audience. "While others dream, we make it happen! This is the slogan of the conference and the present day...''
The jury members had to, in particular, evaluate the possibility of practical application of the new engineering solutions, their economic efficiency, originality and impact on the working conditions and safety.
The themes of the projects surprised and pleased the jury with their variety.
Yury Tivilev from the design bureau suggested using a 3D printer at the enterprise to manufacture parts made of various types of plastic. Traditional technologies can't produce the complex and non-standard geometric shapes a printer can. The young engineer demonstrated to the jury a product he had made on a printer he designed himself.
The lively discussion of this proposal by the audience highlighted the relevance of the topic. For example, the chief mechanic got interested in making a seal on a 3D printer, as seals often fail. There are also other options for the mechanics to use this technology, which can be reviewed in more detail for further application.
Experts whose work is directly related to environmental protection and treatment and neutralisation of industrial wastewater actively asked questions to Anna Turovskaya from the Air Service Laboratory, who presented a project for the treatment of industrial wastewater with biological loading units. The express method that uses biosensors allows to reduce the duration of analysis from the usual five days to 15 minutes. The amperometric biosensor developed by Ekobiokhem LLC with the participation of the Tula State University is much cheaper to operate than similar foreign sensors...
The General Director also found this topic quite promising and suggested returning to it soon.
Everyone also showed interest in the idea of Yuri Umnov from the construction bureau. His project involves the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in the chemical industry and is relevant for completely different aspects of the enterprise's activities, from equipment examination and diagnostics in hard-to-reach and dangerous areas, such as air ducts, various tanks and surface control to geodesy, the monitoring of construction sites and territory protection.
Other projects proposed by the young specialists include Catalytic Purification of Process Gases from Nitrous Oxide during the Production of Nitric Acid by Anna Ovchinnikova from the Central Operative Control System, the Training Laboratory: Automation of Technological Processes and Production by Sergei Schemelev from the department of the chief instrument engineer and Andrey Grigoryev from the instrumentation and automation department, and the Use of Integrated Automatic Control Systems by Aleksandr Yakunin from the boiler and turbine shop...
Scientific and technical initiatives of young people supported by the many years of experience of their mentors — successful, highly qualified specialists in various fields of the company's activities —are an excellent resource and an opportunity for an unconventional, fresh look at many processes going on in a growing enterprise.
